Tony is a contributor to the
Crosscut.com, a daily on-line news magazine of Seattle and the
Northwest. He writes a regular "weekend essay" which appears at
crosscut.com on Saturday and Sunday.
For fourteen years, from 1996 - 2009,
Tony contributed to the pages of the Seattle Post-Intelligencer as a
columnist. Appearing first on the Op-Ed pages, then writing the
weekly column, "Articles of Faith," his columns were a part of the
civic and faith conversation of Seattle and beyond. Though the
Post-Intelligencer ended its print edition in 2009, you can still

Tony is also a regular contributor to the on-line daily devotionals
of the United Church of Christ. He usually writes three devotionals
a month. Each devotional contains a Scripture reading, brief
reflection and a prayer. Devotional writers also include Martin Copenhaver, Lillian Daniel, and Ron Buford, among others. To see the
