Tony is a Senior Consultant with the
Atlanta-based
Center for Progressive Renewal. His consulting work is
currently done through CPR, utilizing CPR's resources, staff support
and data base.
As a consultant he works with congregations, clergy, judicatories
and denominations helping clients to understand current challenges,
gain fresh perspective, identity strengths and challenges, and
develop actionable next steps that strengthen health and vitality.
As a consultant Tony offers three core products:

The Congregational Assessment. An assessment
enables your congregation or organization to accurately define its
"current reality," including strengths, weaknesses, opportunities
and threats. Tony's assessments are done on-site. They are interview
based. An initial oral summary of findings is followed by a detailed
written report, which includes recommendations. An accurate picture
of current reality is crucial to all next steps.

Discernment and Strategic Planning. This work helps
a congregation or other body identity core purpose (mission) and key
next chapter priorities and strategies for making progress.
Congregations are helped by a sense of direction. This is direction
setting work, done within a framework of approach of spiritual
discernment, which asks, "What is God up to here now, and how are we
to respond?"

Follow Up Leadership Coaching. After direction is
set and priorities established, leaders will often consult with Tony
to talk about how its going, to make adjustments, and get feedback.

Many congregations do all three pieces of work with Tony,
sequentially. Some choose to do only one piece of work, depending on
their needs. Others shape their consultation around specific issues
they which to address, such as pastoral transition planning, staff
development, or conflict resolution.
Tony also offers professional coaching for clergy and church
leadership teams. This is normally done by phone or skype. Charges
for coaching are $125/ hour for an individual; $175/ hour for a
group.
